ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
1. INTRODUCTION
DrinkStar GmbH is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users. This website is designed to be accessible, understandable, and operable for people with disabilities. We continuously work to identify and remove barriers and to improve the accessibility of our digital services.
This accessibility statement is issued in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG), in particular Section 3 BFSG, and the Accessibility Ordinance (Barrierefreiheitsverordnung – BFV). These legal provisions implement Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services into German national law.
The accessibility requirements are implemented in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, conformance levels A and AA.
2. STATE OF COMPLIANCE
This website is partially compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.2 (levels A and AA) and the applicable provisions of the BFSG and BFV.
3. NON-ACCESSIBLE CONTENT
A) TECHNICAL NON-COMPLIANCE
Incomplete or insufficient HTML semantics: For example, <h1> headings are not used consistently, or form controls are not correctly associated with <label> elements.
B) CONTENT-RELATED NON-COMPLIANCE
Non-accessible PDF and Office documents: These documents frequently lack a semantic structure, accessible tables, or sufficient alternative text.
Language changes without programmatic identification: Certain English terms or sections are not properly identified using language attributes in the source code.
C) DISPROPORTIONATE BURDEN
In accordance with Section 5 BFSG, accessibility requirements do not apply where compliance would impose a disproportionate burden. Despite extensive efforts, the following content cannot currently be provided in a fully accessible manner:
Many PDF and Word documents published before 28 June 2025 do not comply with accessibility requirements. They often lack a clear document structure, meaningful alternative text for non-text content, or contain complex tables. Retrofitting these documents to meet accessibility requirements would require a disproportionate amount of technical and human resources.
DrinkStar GmbH endeavours to ensure that newly created documents are accessible by default. Upon request, individual documents will be provided in an accessible format where reasonably possible.
4. ACCESSIBILITY OF THE SERVICE
General description of the service
DrinkStar GmbH operates as a beverage wholesaler, partly offering digital sales channels. The range of products includes non-alcoholic beverages, as well as related products and services for the hospitality sector and end customers. The website is used for product presentation and for initiating contact with the sales, marketing, and service departments.
Description of how the service is provided
Users can browse the product catalogue, access product information, and contact the service team via the website. Following initial contact, business customers may receive individual commercial terms and services. Ordering processes (exclusively for business customers) and further communication are generally conducted by telephone or email.
Where individual functions—such as form fields or interactive elements—are not fully accessible, DrinkStar GmbH provides the relevant information upon request via alternative accessible means, such as telephone or accessible document formats.
5. PREPARATION AND REVIEW OF THIS STATEMENT
This statement was prepared on 26 January 2026.
The assessment was carried out by means of a self-evaluation, including internal testing using different browsers and keyboard navigation, as well as partially automated accessibility testing using the WAVE evaluation tool.
